The 1927nm fractional mode is characterized by the use of a fractional handleto focus the laser onto a small spot (approximately 0.1-0.15mm in diameter) toirradiate the skin, achieving a non-ablative or micro-ablative effect, mainly forskin rejuvenation and wrinkle reduction. If the laser is applied for a long enoughtime, a micro-ablative effect is produced. If the duration of action and energydensity are reduced, a thermal coagulation vertical band may be produced,which activates collagen and shrinks the skin
